In celebration of the 2025 Women’s Month, Eastern Police District Acting District Director, PCOL VILLAMOR Q TULIAO recognized the outstanding women of EPD during the Kick-off Ceremony of the 2025 Women’s Month Celebration with the theme: “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas” held at around 8:00AM on March 3, 2025 at the EPD Multi-Purpose Hall, Caruncho Ave., Brgy. Malinao, Pasig City.
The kick-off ceremony was graced by ADD, EPD, along with the members of the EPD Command Group, and attended by the District Staff and other Key Officers.
The event started with the words of women empowerment delivered by PCOL MARY GRACE R MADAYAG, COP, Mandaluyong CPS, as the Guest Speaker and representative of all EPD women. The activity was also highlighted by the awarding of EPD female personnel for their courage, ingenuity and dedication to duty as women leaders in their respective fields. The awardees were: PCOL MARY GRACE R MADAYAG, PCPT JURANA S OLLAGING, PCPT DIANA M CHUGAJNA, PLT GINA BUCALAN, PLT CRISPINA A ALINGAS, PEMS Rosemarie Q Dones, PCMS Rosabelle M Bitayo, PCMS Abigail R Saguid, PSMS Assiyah A Akkoh, PMSg Annaliza T Lamusao, PSSg Melve Ann B Espin, Pat Almera Q Tolentino, Pat Swencel S Flores, Pat Jan Shaira A Pabatang.
As a way of giving back the love and respect to the EPD Lady Cops and NUPs to make them feel more special and bring them joy, ADD, EPD assisted by the EPD Command Group and D-Staff, gave special gifts such as chocolates, t-shirts and 5Kgs of Rice to all EPD women while being serenade by the EPD Bandang Silangan with songs.
PCOL TULIAO emphasized “Women should not be only treated as special. They should be treated as worthy of love, respect, and enjoyment of their life, as well as their rights and most of all, worthy of themselves as a woman of resilience, compassion and determination. “
“The importance of Women in law enforcement is now being acknowledged and reflected in our policies as it highlights the significance of both equality, diversity, and legislation. Dahil sila ay babae, at hindi basta babae lang.” ADD, EPD added ###
