A total of Php387,600.00 worth of shabu was seized from the arrested high value individuals during a joint buy-bust operation conducted by the Pasig City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit and Bambang Police Sub-Station (SS3) under the strong leadership of PCOL CELERINO M SACRO, JR, Chief of Police and Pasig City Anti-Drug Abuse Office (PCADAO) under the supervision of Ms. Zenaida O. Concepcion at around 10:40 PM on March 27, 2024, in line with the 7-Point Agenda of the Regional Director, NCRPO, PMGEN JOSE MELENCIO C NARTATEZ, JR on Enhance Managing Police Operations aligned to the 5-Focused Agenda of Chief PNP, PGEN BENJAMIN C ACORDA, JR pertaining to Aggressive and Honest Law Enforcement Operations.

According to the report reaching PCOL SACRO, JR, the arrested suspects were identified as a.k.a. “Borbo”, male, 57 years old, married, elementary graduate, construction worker and a.k.a. “Edgar”, male, 55 years old, single, high school graduate, utility, and both residents of Brgy. Bambang, Pasig City for Violation of Sections 5 and 11 Article II of R.A. No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

Investigation disclosed that after a series of surveillances and with proper coordination, joint personnel of Station Drug Enforcement Unit and Bambang Police Sub-Station (SS3) together with Pasig City Anti-Drug Abuse Office (PCADAO) conducted a drug buy-bust operation along A. Luna Street, Brgy. Bambang, Pasig City which resulted in the arrest of the aforementioned suspects.

Confiscated from the possession and control of suspect “Borbo” were four pieces heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu and one piece heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu from the possession and control of suspect “Edgar”, all with an estimated weight of more or less 57 grams with an estimated street value of Php387,600.00 and recovery of buy-bust money consisting of two pieces one-hundred-peso bills with serial numbers KN300940 and ER819736 incorporated with 14 pieces of fake one-thousand pesos and one-piece black pouch.

Markings and inventory of confiscated pieces of evidence were conducted at the place of arrest in the presence of Barangay Kagawad Michael Dennis Dela Cruz and a representative from the media, Rey Pagaduan.

The suspects were informed of the nature of their arrest and were apprised of their constitutional rights in a dialect known to them.

Thereafter, the arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to this office for filing of appropriate charges and subsequently referred to NHQ-Forensic Group, Camp Crame, Quezon, City for drug test and laboratory examination.

“The success of our anti-illegal drug campaign is accredited to the relentless and collaborative efforts of Pasig Elite personnel and the Local Government of Pasig City to apprehend individuals with illegal activities. We will ensure that similar police operations will continue urging the public to help in the anti-criminality campaign of the police force by providing information to the authorities,” PCOL SACRO, JR said.###
