
In a significant blow to the illegal drug trade, operatives from the Eastern Police District successfully seized over ₱1.6 million worth of high-grade marijuana during a buy-bust operation conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of Pasig City Police Station in coordination with Pasig City Anti-Drug Abuse Office on June 22, 2025 at about 2:45 AM at Brgy. Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City. The operation, carried out as part of the EPD’s intensified anti-drug campaign, led to the arrest of a key suspect and the confiscation of a substantial quantity of illegal drugs intended for distribution.
PBGEN ADEN T LAGRADANTE, DD, EPD received information from PCOL HENDRIX B MANGALDAN, Chief of Police of Pasig City Police Station, that the suspect was identified as a.k.a. “Buknoy”, 27 years old, presently residing at Pateros and listed as High Value Individual.
The buy-bust operation stemmed from a pre-operation and coordination report regarding the illegal drug operation of a.k.a. “Buknoy” at the given address. Immediately, the operatives conducted surveillance and validation which proved the veracity of the information previously acquired. The operatives executed the buy-bust operation that resulted in the arrest of the drug suspect.
Confiscated were 1-piece heat sealed transparent plastic sachet, 2-pieces self-sealing plastic and 1-piece cling wrap, all containing dried/fruiting tops suspected to be marijuana (kush) with an estimated weight of more or less 1100 grams with Standard Drug Price of Php 1,650,000.00.

“Let this serve as a strong warning to those involved in the illegal drug trade, we will not tolerate your activities. We are intensifying our operations and will pursue every lead to ensure that those who choose to threaten the safety and well-being of our communities are brought to justice. You can run, but you cannot hide.” Warned the father of EPD.
Cases for Violation of Sec 5 (Selling of Dangerous Drugs) and Sec 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) under Art II of RA 9165 otherwise known as the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002” will be filed against him before the Pasig City Prosecutor’s Office. The drug suspect is now under the custody of Pasig CPS Custodial Facility while pertinent documents are being prepared for inquest proceedings.
