Another Top Most Wanted Person was arrested at about 4:20PM of January 17, 2025 during the Intensified Law Enforcement Operation of Pasig CPS personnel at Parian Creek, Brgy. Kapasigan, Pasig City. The suspect was listed as the District’s Top 2 Most Wanted person for the crime of Qualified Rape that he committed on August 16, 2024 and Acts of Lasciviousness on August 9, 2024 respectively.

Accordingly, both of the suspect’s cases transpired in his residence at Barangay Kalawaan, Pasig City wherein records revealed that the victims were both minors and they manifested that they were repeatedly abused by the suspect.

In a report submitted to PCOL VILLAMOR Q TULIAO, ADD, EPD from PLTCOL DELA ROSA, OIC, Pasig CPS, the suspect identified as a.k.a. “Ednel”, 34 years old was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by HON. RAINELDA H ESTACIO-MONTESA, Acting Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 159, Pasig City for Qualified Rape under Article 266-B(1) of the Revised Penal Code in relation to Section 5(a) of RA No. 8369, docketed under Criminal Case No. R-PSG-25-00055-CR and R-PSG-25-00056-CR with No Bail recommended.

In depth reports also uncover that the suspect had a standing Warrant of Arrest issued by the same Judge for the crime of Acts of Lasciviousness under Article 366 of the Revised Penal Code in relation to Section 5(b) of RA No. 7610, docketed under Criminal Case No. R-PSG-25-00067-CR with bail recommended at a fixed amount of Php200,000.00 that prompted the officers to served his warrant.

ADD EPD lauds the Pasig CPS Personnel for their highly commendable accomplishment and acknowledges the dedication and commitment of the EPD Police Force in rendering their sworn duties. “Now, the case is one step closer to justice for the victims and we let it be done in the hands of law. Still, I urge the intensification of our campaign against all wanted persons and ensure to apprehend those who violate law.” He said.

The arrested suspect was temporarily placed under the custody of Pasig City Police Station while waiting for the commitment order from the issuing court. ###
