EPD’s relentless Anti-Illegal Drugs operation yields to the arrest of a 46 yrs. old male drug peddler and confiscation of illegal drugs at about 12:30AM of April 2, 2024.

According to the report reaching PBGEN WILSON C ASUETA, District Director, EPD from Chief, DDEU, EPD, suspect identified as alias “OREK”, resident of Pasig City was arrested through a buy-bust operation.

Operatives seized from the suspect’s possession and control, five (5) pieces heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected as shabu with estimated weight of more or less 26.73 grams with SDP value of Php181,764.00.

Markings and inventories of seized drug related evidence were made at the actual place of occurrence in the presence of one Brgy. Official and media representative.

The arrested suspect was informed of the nature of his arrest and was apprised of his constitutional rights in a dialect known to him.
Thereafter, arrested suspect was brought to DDEU office for proper documentation and was given medical examination at Rizal Medical Center and later turned over to PNP, NHQ Forensic Group, Camp Crame, Quezon City for Drug Test. Confiscated pieces of illegal drug evidence were also submitted for Laboratory Examination.

Subsequently, suspect was temporarily detained at Pasig CPS Custodial Facility for proper disposition and facing his charges for Violation of R.A. 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.###
