With the objective to have a safe, secure and fair National and Local Elections (NLE) 2025, San Juan City Police Station headed by PCOL DEODENNIS JOY E MARMOL, Chief of Police in cooperation with PPCRV, San Juan City with the support of “S.A.F.E. 2025 NLE” stakeholders such as the COMELEC Election Officers, San Juan City headed by Atty. Joy Cabacungan, PPCRV, NAMFREL, PNP, BJMP, BFP and other government agencies initiated the conduct of Unity Walk and Peace Covenant Signing for the peaceful and transparent Midterm Elections 2025 on March 21, 2025.
At around 7:00 AM on the said date, the registration started for all candidates for Congressman, Mayor, Vice Mayor and Councilors and other stakeholders followed by a Unity Walk from Pinaglabanan Shrine going to St. John the Baptist Parish Church wherein the activity and the traffic flow was assisted by San Juan PNP, JTF-NCR, TPMO and Task Force Disiplina.
Program proper was conducted attended by Hon. Francis Javier M. Zamora, Mayor, San Juan City together with his Councils which was graced by PCOL ALDRINE S GRAN, CDDS, EPD together with PLTCOL VINBOY M PACAMARRA, OIC, DCADD as the representatives from the PNP.
Highlighted the activity was the recitation and Signing of the Peace Covenant of all candidates and other witnesses preceded by PPRCV. The last part of the program was the final blessing by the Parish Priest, and releasing of doves and photo opportunity of all candidates. Also present in the activity were the City Director, DILG, School Division Superintendent and NAMFREL representatives.
Further, this aims to work hand and hand with the Religious sector, other Government agencies and stakeholders to come up with a peaceful and orderly conduct of S.A.F.E. 2025 NLE.
