
Driven by the unyielding commitment of Eastern Police District (EPD) to uphold and implement the directives of our Regional Director, PMGEN ANTHONY A ABERIN, EPD operatives were able to swiftly apprehend the suspects involved in a robbery incident after almost 24-hours of tracking down at Brgy. 807, San Andres Bukid, Sta. Ana, Manila on May 29, 2025 at around 7:58 PM. This immediate and decisive response is a testament to EPD’s dauntless commitment to ensure public safety.
Reports received by PBGEN ADEN T LAGRADANTE, Officer-in-Charge, EPD from PCOL DEODENNIS JOY E MARMOL, Chief of Police, San Juan CPS revealed that on May 28, 2025, at arround 8:40 PM, one Indian National identified as Kanjibhai Shihora, a diamond trader and a resident of Mandaluyong City was forcibly abducted in front of Subway Restaurant, Greenhills Shopping Center located at Connecticut St., Brgy. Greenhills, San Juan City.
Mr. Shihora has just finished his meal at the said place when 3 malefactors suddenly grabbed and dragged him into their vehicle. They took his cash and diamonds valued at approximately PHP 1,000,000.00 as declared by the victim. Suspects physically abused and threatened to kill him and was discriminately dropped along the road located at Brgy. Sta. Lucia, San Juan City. Criminals fled the scene and initially evaded capture. Fortunately, the victim was seen by force multipliers and he was assisted to the nearest police station.
Following this report, the Eastern Police District immediately created a Special Investigation Team and OIC, EPD directed PCOL GLENN D LONOGAN, DDDO, EPD to convene the operational team. Afterwards, the joint operatives from EPD immediately conducted hot pursuit operation including the relentless efforts of tracking CCTVs that enabled them to locate the suspects in their residences at the afore-mentioned address. From there, operatives positioned themselves within the vicinity of the target house. Moments later, suspects arrived wherein one of them was positively recognized by the victim which prompted the operatives to swiftly approach this suspect identified as a.k.a “Jamal” and execute the arrest. Subsequently, he verbally admitted that the two (2) masterminds of the robbery identified as a.k.a “Mohammad” and a.k.a “Machol” were inside the house which impelled the operatives to assault the house and effectively arrest these two other suspects.
The operatives were able to recover thirty (30) pieces ziplock sealed plastic sachet containing diamonds and diamond certificate, cash amounting to PHP 130,000.00, three (3) units of cellular phone, two (2) wrist watch, one (1) bracelet, two (2) rings, and four (4) wallets, three (3) driver’s license, eight different cards, and assorted calling cards and papers. Likewise, the suspects voluntarily revealed the whereabouts of the Suzuki Vetara which was later recovered in Sta. Maria Bulacan.
OIC, EPD lauded the EPD operatives for their exemplary execution of a successful operation as a part of the district’s broader effort to tone down violent crimes and protect local businesses. “May this incident serve as a stern warning to all lawless elements: the three thousand strong men and women of Eastern Police District will hold no punches against criminal activities in our jurisdiction. We will pursue all perpetrators with unwavering resolve and impose the arms of justice against those who will attempt to disrupt peace and order in our communities.”

A Robbery Case was filed against the suspects before the San Juan City Prosecutor’s Office. Subsequently, the suspects were temporarily detained at the San Juan CPS Custodial Facility while pertinent documents are being prepared for inquest proceedings.###
