The Eastern Police District under the leadership of PCOL VILLAMOR Q TULIAO, Acting District Director promotes gender equality among its personnel, and one of these is to ensure equal protection and rights of the EPD Women personnel as to empower them as a Law Enforcers.

In line with the celebration of the 2025 National Women’s Month with the theme: “Babae sa lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas”, the EPD established an All-Female COMELEC Checkpoint on March 21, 2025 at Urbano Velasco Ave., Brgy. Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City which was done into 2 schedules, 3:00AM-4:00AM and 10:00PM-11:00PM.

The All-Female Checkpoint is one way of recognizing the role of women in law enforcement operation which play a vital role in contributing and improving community relations for public safety and security.

The presence of female officers in handling police operation like checkpoint can foster stronger relationships with the communities, leading to increased trust and cooperation. Thus, this initiative is a testament that women are stronger, resilient, and flexible when it comes to being excllent, professional and discipline at work and in other aspects.

Being modest in dealing with people, all women checkpoint displays good leadership with dedication and commitment not minding the risk of danger they are facing but bearing in their hearts the will to serve and protect the people.
