EPD’s fight against criminality was effectively carried out as a male known personality, wanted for the crime of 2 counts of murder, was successfully arrested. The operation transpired on February 2, 2025, when personnel of Marikina CPS Intelligence Section executed the Warrant of Arrest for the murder suspect, Lijone Dela Cruz a.k.a. Simultaneously, in his pursuit of eluding arrest, Dela Cruz also bumped into four other vehicles, causing severe damage. In that instance, the suspect got out of his car in an attempt to escape, but he was subdued and arrested by Marikina CPS personnel.

Confiscated from the suspect was a caliber .45 pistol with seven live ammunitions along with his vehicle.
