
EPD’s relentless anti-criminality campaign has recorded significant accomplishments in the successful manhunt operation of Marikina CPS operatives on January 14, 2025 that resulted in the arrest of Top 4 Most Wanted Person for the crimes of Acts of Lasciviousness and violation of Anti-Child Abuse Law (RA 7610). An in-depth investigation revealed that sometimes on March 2021 when suspect was a former employee of the victim’s family who allegedly exploited the minor when she was six years old in the absence of her parents. However, on August 17, 2023, the said incident was reported to Marikina CPS and took cognizance of the case. On December 26, 2024, the aforementioned court issued warrant of arrest against the suspect for violation of Article 336 of the Revised Penal Code in relation to section 5 (B) of RA 7610.
Reports received by PCOL VILLAMOR Q TULIAO, Acting District Director, EPD, from PCOL ERWIN T DAYAG, Chief of Police, Marikina CPS revealed that the suspect identified as a.k.a “Ian”, 33 yrs. old, tricycle driver was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon. Judge Edwin A Valdez, Presiding Judge, Family Court Branch 7, Marikina City.
The operation stemmed from a series of surveillance and intensive monitoring to locate the accused until the operatives obtained positive information from an informant. Immediately, the operatives conducted validation and executed manhunt operation that yields in the successful apprehension of the suspect at his residence in Brgy. Cupang, Marikina City.
ADD EPD lauds the operatives for the successful arrest of the suspect. He stressed, “The arrest of this Top Most Wanted Person displays the unwavering effort of our law enforcers to eradicate all forms of lawlessness in our community without fear of favor. Our heightened police operations against all Wanted Persons have been continuously executed to its maximum for the security and peace of our people”.
Subsequently, the arrested person was currently placed under the custody of Marikina City Police Station for proper disposition.
