With the relentless battle of Eastern Police District to eradicate Illegal Drugs Operations in Metro East, EPD officially reported the successful Buy-Bust Operation of Marikina CPS that yielded in the arrest of Three (3) High Value Individuals and seizure of 330 grams of suspected shabu at about 1:30 AM of November 7, 2024.

Initial investigation disclosed that a buy-bust operation was conducted at Block 43, Singkamas St., Brgy. Tumana, Marikina City wherein a police operative guised as poseur-buyer was able to purchase one (1) heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing substance suspected as shabu from Calel Dumlao y Macasasa alias “Khalil” in exchange of Php500.00. When the pre-arranged signal was made, alias “Khalil” together with his 2 cohorts identified as Amrex Maomin y Sarip alias “Amrex” and Jamaira Dumlao y Muto alias “Jamaira” were apprehended.

The operation also resulted in the confiscation of illegal drug and non-drug evidence as follows:

a. Eighteen (18) pieces of heat-sealed transparent sachet containing suspected illegal drugs;
b. Two (2) knot tied transparent plastic bag containing suspected shabu;
c. One (1) piece black belt bag;
d. One (1) piece digital weighing scale; and
e. One (1) piece transparent plastic bag.

“Our unified effort and hard work once again paid off” said PCOL VILLAMOR Q TULIAO, OIC, EPD. “This accomplishment enables us to stop the huge Illegal Drug Operation of this Drug syndicates and save innocent lives.”

In total, the confiscated illegal drugs had an estimated Standard Drug Price of Php 2,244,000.00, marking another record of exemplary accomplishment of Eastern Police District.

Continuous investigation was made by the authority to trace other possible other Drug Personalities in the area. The arrested suspects are currently detained at Marikina CPS Custodial Facility and will be facing charges for violation of RA 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act 2002.

PCOL TULIAO also urged the community to report any suspicious activity through the use of Law Enforcement Reporting Information System (LERIS) for immediate Police response. “With this innovative and strategic approach to easily address crime problems, still the community’s Peace, Order and Safety is our top priority”.
