A drug suspect previously detained for drug charges, is once again bound by the long arm of justice. EPD once again, have shown its utmost prowess in an intensified fight on eradicating illegal substances. Such is manifested with the arrest of the drug peddler on a buy-bust operation conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of Marikina City Police Station on June 16, 2025 at about 10:40 PM at Brgy. Nangka, Marikina City.

PBGEN ADEN T LAGRADANTE, DD, EPD received information from PCOL GEOFFREY N FERNANDEZ, Officer-in-Charge of Marikina City Police Station, that the suspect was identified as a.k.a. “Robin”, 32 years old, presently residing at San Mateo, Rizal and now listed as Newly Identified High Value Individual. Based on records, the suspect was previously apprehended on a buy-bust operation on August 2022 together with 3 other drug suspects wherein 55 grams of drug evidence valuing to Php 374,000.00 was confiscated.

The buy-bust operation stemmed from a pre-operation and coordination report regarding the illegal drug operation of a.k.a. “Robin” at the given address. Immediately, the operatives conducted surveillance and validation which proved the veracity of the information previously acquired. The operatives executed the buy-bust operation that resulted in the arrest of the drug suspect.

Confiscated were 9-pieces heat sealed transparent plastic sachets and 4-pieces of knot tied transparent plastic bag, all containing white crystalline substances suspected to be shabu with an estimated weight of more or less 295 grams with Standard Drug Price of Php 2,006,000.00.

Cases for Violation of Sec 5 (Selling of Dangerous Drugs) and Sec 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) under Art II of RA 9165 otherwise known as the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002” will be filed against him before the Marikina City Prosecutor’s Office. The drug suspect is now under the custody of Marikina CPS Custodial Facility while pertinent documents are being prepared for inquest proceedings.
