
The Eastern Police District achieved a major breakthrough in its fight against illegal drugs after a successful buy-bust operations by Marikina CPS operatives. The operations conducted at around 7:15 PM on July 29, 2025, in Brgy. Concepcion Uno, Marikina City, led to the seizure of shabu worth more than Php 1 million and arrested three suspects identified as a.k.a “Albert,” 26 years old, listed as High Value Individual (HVI), a.k.a. “Joven,” 32 years old, listed as Street Level Individual (SLI), and a.k.a. “Ange,” 42 years old—all residents of Marikina City.
Investigation revealed that after an extensive surveillance and coordination with the PDEA, authorities promptly made an arrest after a poseur-buyer completed the transaction with one of the suspects, resulting in the seizure of one knot-tied transparent plastic bag and ten heat-sealed sachets containing a white crystalline substance suspected shabu, weighing approximately 150 grams with an estimated standard drug price of Php 1,020,000.00.
Following their arrest, the suspects were promptly taken to the Marikina CPS for thorough documentation and investigation before their medical examination at Amang Rodriguez Medical Center. Then, the suspects together with the seized evidence were brought to the EPD Forensic Unit for laboratory testing, reinforcing the thoroughness of the ongoing case preparation.

Our relentless efforts will continue, and those arrested will be held accountable in accordance with the rule of law.”
Alias “Albert” and his two cohorts were turned over to Marikina City Custodial Facility for custody. Cases for Violation of Section 5 and 11 Art. II of R.A. No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) will be filed against the suspects.
