
In line with the 7-Point Agenda of the Regional Director, NCRPO, PMGEN JOSE MELENCIO C NARTATEZ, JR on Enhanced Managing Police Operations, a total of Php1,705,440.00 worth of shabu was seized from the arrested high value individual in an anti-criminality checkpoint operation conducted by Pasig Elite personnel of Rosario Police Sub-Station (SS7) under the strong leadership of PCOL CELERINO M SACRO, JR, Chief of Police.
According to the report reaching PCOL SACRO, JR, the arrested 22-year-old suspect was identified as a.k.a. “Win”, male, single, habal-driver, high school level, and presently residing in Brgy. Prinza, Teresa, Rizal for Violations of Section 11, Article II of R.A. No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and Direct Assault, Resistance and Disobedience.
Investigation disclosed that at about 3:20 AM of April 16, 2024, personnel of Rosario Police Sub-Station (SS7) led by PCPT JAZON G LOVENDINO, Sub-Station Commander were conducting Checkpoint Operation in front of Ravepark along F. Legaspi Street, Brgy. Maybunga, Pasig City when they flagged down the above-mentioned suspect on board a blue Honda Click 125CC motorcycle. During verification, the arresting officer asked the suspect for his driver’s license and OR/CR of his driven motorcycle, but the suspect became uneasy and uncooperative. Then and there, the suspect became arrogant and kicked the arresting officer and fled away. However, the arresting officer together with his colleagues chased the suspect and were able to hold the latter. At that instance, the suspect got irked and resisted the arrest, but he was successfully apprehended. During procedural search, the arresting officer seized from suspect’s possession and control one color red bag containing three pieces knot-tie transparent plastic containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu with estimated weight of more less 250.8 grams with standard drugs price of Php1,705,440.00 and recovery of one-unit blue Honda Click 125CC motorcycle with MV File No. 0401-0125482.
Markings and inventory of confiscated pieces of evidence were conducted at the place of arrest in the presence of Barangay Kagawad Angelo Iporac and a representative from the media, Nolan Ariola.
The suspect was informed of the nature of his arrest and was apprised of his constitutional rights in a dialect known to him.
Thereafter, the arrested suspect and recovered pieces of evidence were brought to this office for filing of appropriate charges and subsequently referred to NHQ-Forensic Group, Camp Crame, Quezon City for drug test and laboratory examination.
PCOL SACRO, JR highly commended the dedication, commitment, and team efforts of the men and women of Rosario Police Sub-Station (SS7) which resulted in the arrest of a high value individual during their aggressive anti-criminality checkpoint operation. Likewise, he further reiterates his directives to the men on the ground to be cautious with their safety in conducting any anti-criminality police operations with strict adherence to the PNP Police Operational Procedures and respect to human rights.
